Jon Heisman is a devoted student and teacher of the game of lacrosse. In his playing days, Jon was selected as a first team All-American defenseman and was captain of the Ithaca College Bombers for three years. Jon was also a two-time, first team ECAC selection. As the former Head Coach of Springfield High School, Jon led the Cougars to a State Championship title and State runner up three times. Under Jon’s leadership the Cougars also made six final four appearances. Jon is currently the Head Coach at West Chester East where his record is 64-16. East has been ranked # 7 for the past two years in PA and has won two straight Suburban League titles under Heisman. As a coach, Jon now boasts well over 250 wins. Recently, Jon was named PA Coach of the Year for the 2004-2005 campaign.


  Glenn Carter  enters his sixth season at the helm of the Bear's Lacrosse Program. 2007 was a breakout year for Coach Carter and his Bears lacrosse program finishing the season with a record of 9-5. In just the fifth season of the programs existence, the Bears made their presence known across the lacrosse world. The 2007 season was highlighted by a big win over #6 nationally ranked Washington College. The Bears also posted conference wins over Franklin & Marshall and McDaniel College for the first time in program history. Carter is looking to continue to build the men's lacrosse program into one of the nation's finest. "My goal is to compete for conference and national titles every season, I want Ursinus Lacrosse to be recognized with the nation's best programs" states Carter. Coach Carter continues to raise the bar by scheduling tougher and tougher opponents each year. Ursinus College is a member of the Centennial Conference, arguably the toughest division 3 lacrosse conference in the country. The Centennial includes traditional powerhouses such as Gettysburg and Washington Colleges. The Centennial also happens to have some of the finest academic schools in the country. The Bears will also play a tough non-conference schedule in 2008 facing such teams as: Denison, Villa Julie, RPI, Skidmore and Messiah.

Coach Carter has over 14 years of coaching experience. Prior to arriving at Ursinus College, Carter served as the head assistant for the Neumann College Knights. There he helped lead the Knights to the 1999 ECAC South Region Championship. Carter was also a standout defenseman for the Knights as a player.

Debbie White has been involved in the sport of lacrosse as a player and coach for over 25 years. A college All American, Debbie was the captain and leading scorer for West Chester University. Debbie had the honor of being selected to play for the United States women’s lacrosse team. Debbie is currently the Athletic Director and Head Coach at The William Penn Charter School where she consistently has one of the top teams in a very competitive league.

Paul Deniken has been playing and coaching lacrosse for twenty-seven years.  An All-American attackman at Washington College, Paul played professional lacrosse for the Philadelphia Wings for nine seasons, winning world championships in four of those campaigns.  After his playing career as a pro, Paul has coached at the professional level for the Wings, the Philadelphia Barrage and is currently the Assistant Coach of the New York Titans of the NLL.

Bob DiIonno is currently the Assistant Varsity Coach at Avon Grove High School and Assistant Director of the Avon Grove Recreation Association Youth Lacrosse Organization.  Bob formerly coached the Neumann College men's and women's lacrosse teams. As Neumann's inaugural head women's coach, he compiled a 55-11 record, had four consecutive conference playoff appearances, produced five regional All-Americans and was voted Coach of the Year.  Before Neumann, Bob was the Head Girls' Lacrosse Coach at Chichester High School for eight seasons. As a player, Bob was selected captain at East Stroudsburg University. Bob brings over twenty years of playing and nineteen years of coaching experience.  .

Paul Meyers has extensive coaching experience at the high school level.  Meyers, a 2002 "Legends of the Game" award winner, has coached for nine years at Springfield High School and four years at West Chester East.  Meyers has also been the head football coach at Bishop Shanahan High School for the past eight years.

  Jaime Byrnes was a Big East Academic All American for the University of Connecticut, a Nationally ranked team, where she earned the Big East Player Award. Jaime  also captained her Unionville High School team where she received All League and All Area honors.
